WHO WE ARE

  • A comprehensive professional development program provider for teachers K-12
  • Not-for-profit legislated by State Education Law 316 and funded by the New York State Legislature
  • A regional consortium of 94 school districts, 80 non-public schools and 4 BOCES
  • A service region spanning 14 counties and 9,000 square miles
  • A constituency of approximately 22,000 educators

SERVICES

  • Diverse educational activities at various locations throughout our region at convinient hours
  • Voluntary staff development activities, designed and delivered primarily by expert teacher presenters
  • Develop, present and subsidize more than 500 courses and workshops for graduate and in-service credit
  • Maximize opportunities through collaborations with a variety of partners including higher education institutions, governmental agencies, businesses, museums and cultural organizations
  • Online educational information clearinghouse providing announcements, news briefs, referrals and links to educational resources
  • Support educators by funding activities aimed at improving teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with teachers and districts seeking funding to raise standards and meet needs
