Grants Center - Funding for Education |
| GCRTC
is proud to announce the establishment of the GCRTC Grants Center.
The services of the Grants Center are available to teachers, union presidents,
administrators and other educational personnel within our constituency.
The Center offers training courses and support aimed at developing grant-seeking
skills across a wide range of experience levels. Learn about the
wide variety of philanthropic paths that individual teachers and organizations
can follow with foundations, corporations and government funding.
GCRTC offers a variety of courses in small group or individual settings
that teach educators how to efficiently mine the Internet for funding opportunities,
as well as how to best take advantage of our electronic and print research
tools.
We
encourage teachers to seek financial support for special projects that
will enhance their teaching capability and enrich the experience for their
students. Funding opportunities are available from the Teacher Center and
from many other sources including private and public agencies.
The Teacher Center has often partnered with teachers and districts in seeking funds. Contact us to seek assistance in refining your ideas, finding appropriate granting agencies, and partnering to maximize resources. |
|
Since its inception, the Teacher Center has met its goal of nurturing teachers' creativity and initiative by offering yearly competetive grants when Teacher Center State funding allows. These grants provide Teacher Center funding to enable educators to develop a great idea into an exemplary activity aimed at improving learning and teaching. The
GCRTC Grants Program is open to any educator associated with a private
or public district, school or institution affiliated with GCRTC. Grant
funding is designated to support teachers seeking unique pro fessional
growth opportunities and not to substitute for a school district’s obligation
to provide staff development activities. A certain percentage of projects
awarded each round will be those addressing an annual established theme.
There is no restriction on the number of proposals an applicant may submit.
GCRTC must reject applications identical to or closely resembling those
funded previously and already housed in the GCRTC
|
|
The GCRTC Resource Collection is a library for teachers and educators containing over 700 outstanding teacher-created projects on all aspects of education. The Teacher Center will be updating a searchable online catalog guide for these projects and a print version in the near future. Look to this site for updated information. |
