The Greater Capital Region Teacher Center encourages teachers to seek financial support for special projects that will enhance their teaching capability and enrich the experience for their students. Funding opportunities are available from private and public agencies.
The Teacher Center has often
partnered with teachers and districts in seeking outside funds. Call us to seek assistance in refining your ideas, finding appropriate granting agencies,
and partnering to maximize resources.

GCRTC Innovation Grant ProgramSince its inception, the Teacher Center has met its goal of nurturing teachers' creativity and initiative by offering yearly competetive grants. Teachers propose a project which is rated by local area educators and awarded based on merit and funding availability. The finished product with supporting materials is then housed at the Teacher Center office and made available to all educators on a three week loan basis.
A catalog of projects from 1985-96 which will be available on line in the future has now been mailed to your buildings with a Supplemental Guide covering materials from 1996 to summer 1997. You may use the order form to request that a project be mailed to you. Watch this space for announcements about our progress in putting the catalog online or you may call or e-mail to Sara Zaidspiner-Leibo if you are interested in working on this project with us.
