Building Ambassadors
Building Ambassadors (BAs) are a critical link between the Teacher Center and it's approximately 22,000 constituents. Through the efforts of the nearly 500 BAs in the Greater Capital Region Teacher Center (GCRTC) region, thousands of teachers learn about and participate in opportunities to grow professionally.
Building Ambassador Appointment
After signing a Declaration of Participation to access Teacher Center services, Building Ambassador appointments are made. Building Ambassadors must be appointed by the Union President in participating public school districts, while in participating non-public schools, school administrators typically assign BAs.
The Role of the Building Ambassador
Building Ambassadors are teacher leaders who provide guidance on Teacher Center Services to their colleagues. They have a comprehensive understanding of the depth and breadth of Teacher Center services. By combining this understanding with their unique knowledge of their own school communities, they are able to connect their colleagues with a variety of opportunities that match their specific needs.
